CSOs TASK GOVERNOR RADDA ON OGP The Civil Society

 Organizations Working Group on Open Government Partnership (OGP) in Katsina state have urged the governor  of Katsina state ,Mallam  Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD to sign Open Government Partnership (OGP) to enable Katsina state become a full-fledged member.
This call was made at a one-day Retreat for state actors and civil societies   ,organized today at the Conference hall  of Al-Dusar, Katsina,by Katsina state civil society working group on Open Government Partnership.
  "OGP Promotes public accountability, transparency and citizens participation in government".Therefore,it increases Public trust in government, Public ownership, bottom-up approach to governance, prioritized government spending and improve good governance as a whole.
      Meanwhile,an expert,Dr. Musa Abdullahi Sufi delivered a lecture on leadership. He identified some of the good characteristics of a leader."A leader
 should be able to inspire, influence not coerce. A leader should be able to delegate responsibilities, exhibit tolerance, facilitate not to dictate. He or she must be an active listener ,be a team player, be decisive,etc.
  The retreat was attended by the heavyweights in the civil society space in Katsina state such as the Chairman of the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations in Katsina state AbdurRahman Abdullahi Dutsinma, Katsina state Chairman, Transition Monitoring Group, Kamaludeen Kabir Katsina PhD, Ibrahim Sogiji,Gambo Wada from Serve Africa Initiative,Umar Sani Audi, among others.
